Indian Railways is going full throttle in adopting the Head on Generation (HOG) technology. This new technology will help the Indian Railways in more than one ways.
Listing the benefits of HOG system , Rajesh Agarwal, Member, Rolling Stock has said that the railways plan to convert all Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches to HOG system within this year. It was in 2017 that Indian Railways took the decision to shift to LHB technology from the ICF one. All the new LHB coaches that are being made at the production units are being made HOG compliant. The work involved modification in electrical system of power cars and coaches. …
