I. Administrative Vigilance: Orders/Instructions Issued by Department of Personnel & Trg. (DoPT) / Central Vigilance Commission (CVC)

The orders/instructions on multiple aspects of Administrative Vigilance broadly relate to preventive vigilance measures, departmental preliminary enquiry (investigation) or CBI investigation, conduct of disciplinary/departmental proceedings, and processing of Appeals and Revision/Review Petitions.  The orders/instructions on Administrative Vigilance with respect to the Central Government/Public Sector officers/employees, posted on this page, are issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions), Government of India, and the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
The procedure for conducting the disciplinary/proceedings against the officials of the Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) are laid down in the concerned CPSE’s own Conduct, Discipline and Appeal Rules. Similarly, the procedure for conducting the disciplinary/departmental proceedings against the officials of the Public Sector Banks (PSBs) are prescribed in the concerned Public Sector Bank’s own Conduct, Discipline and Appeal Rules. On certain aspects, orders/instructions, insofar as the CPSEs are concerned, are also issued by the Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India.
